JUSTIFIED SHOOTING
YOUNG MAN'S DEATH WOMAN RELEASED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received April 9, 11 a.m.) SYDNEY, April P. The city coroner found that the shooting of John Prendergast on March 27 was justifiable. Mrs Harry, •who had 'been charged with murder, was discharged. Receiving information that a shop in Surrey Hills was being raided; the police went there and found John Prendergast, 21!, dying in the yard. He succumbed an hour later in hospital from a bullet wound in the stomach. Mrs. Kathleen Barry, owner of the shop, was arrested and charged with murder, and three men were captured by the police on charges of breaking an entering. The shooting is enveloped in mystery, and no motive can be ascribed for the raid on the shop.
