HAWERA AIR PAGEANT
FOUR PLANES EN ROUTE (for Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. At 10 o’clock this morning four planes loft Longhmds aerodrome to participate in the llawera pageant. .Miss Clilford, in her Avro-Avian machine, lmd Airs. Richmond as a passenger, and took otf in a formal ion flight with Captain .Mercer, who had .Mr. Taylor as a passenger; Captain Hindman, with Mrs. Stedmaii, iir e, Gipsy plane; and Mr. 11, R. Dix and Miss Bennett in the Marlborough plane. They fly first to Fox ton and then hack to Feilding, where they will stay tonight, proceeding to llawera tomorrow morning. After the llawera pageant they leave for the Ao/'kland pageant. Miss Clifford will have as passenger Irom llawera to Auckland the ground engineer from the ('hnterbury Club.
