SLAUGHTER OF SHEEP
LOSSES IN N.S.W. ESCAPED LEOPARD BLAMED (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received April 8, II a.m.) SYDNEY, April 8. Farmers in the Goulburn district are convinced that a cub leopard which escaped 15 months ago is responsible for the slaughter of sheep in Tallong. About a dozen sheep have literally been torn to shreds in the last few nights. People have reported having heard a strange roar at night, and one mail said he saw a tiger in the bush.
