BRITISH BUDGET
THE FIRST FORECAST INCREASE IN TAXATION LONDON, April 6. The Daily Telegraph's diplomatic correspondent forecasts the following Budget features: The retention of the McKenna and silk duties; no increase in the standard rate of income tax: higher taxation on unearned income; an increased surtax which will probably begin on a, salary of £1500; higher death duties; increased duties on beer, tobacco, and petrol, and higher taxation on land values.
