RIFLE SHOOTING
GISBORNE CLUB’S MATCH
The Gisborne Defence Ritie Club held a handicap match on the Manga papa range over the week-end. Dn account of the inclement weather there was only a small attendance of members. Shooting in the match for the club’s trophy at- distances of 300yds and sCoyds, I. Jeiine, jun., from scratch, secured 74 out of a possible 80. \\. Swazsland and C. Pine both registered 72, W. Swazsland taking second place, having the highest score at. the long range. Detailed results were:—
F. Jeune, jun., 300yds 36, 500yds 38, handicap 0, total 74; W. Swazsland ,'i4, 35, 3. 72; 0. Pirie 29. 34, 9. 72; J. Pirie 28. 35, 7, 70; F. Jeune, sen. 35, 33 , 4 . 70: R. Breingan 32. ob. 0, 68: J. Johnstone 28, 34 , 6, 60.
