MOTORIST INJURED
THROWN THROUGH WINDSCREEN (Per Press Association.) CAR,TEUTON, this day. At midnight on Saturday. Mr. A. V. Stevens, when returning to Carterton from Creyiown in a. ear, noticing an obstruction placed on the Waioltino bridge, j>tt 1 le< 1 uji suddenly. A following ear. driven by Mr. 11. ,). Hudson, of Carterton, with a jiassenger. Mr. 1. A. Ilael. ii, well-known representative footballer, crashed into the hack. Mr. Hart was thrown through the windscreen and sustained a severely cut chin and a lacerated tongue, necessitating several stitches. Mr. Hudson's car was much damaged.
The obstruction, apparently, had been maliciously placed, as a similar block had been removed earlier in the evening hv a. lilts driver.
