BLAZE AT DUNEDIN
COOL STORAGE WORKS (Per Press Association.) RI’NI'.PIX. this day. A fire occurred at midnight nit Sat unlay in the premises of the Otago Dairy Produces Cool Storage Co. When the brigade arrived the flames were spread, ing through the 1 room. The tiremen were greatly handicapped by ammonia fumes. The engine-room containing the refrigerating plant was completely gutted, hut produce in the storage chambers was not damaged. The damage was largely structural.
The building was insured for £19,993 in the State office. It is understood that the contents were insured for about £IOO,OOO.
