GOVERNMENT DEFEATED
S. AUSTRALIAN ELECTIONS FOUR MINISTERS UNCERTAIN (Elec. Tel, Copyright—United Press Assn,) (Received April 7, II a.m.) ADELAIDE, April 7. The elections resulted in the Butler Government being defeated after three years in office. The probable state of the parties in the new Parliament and the old Parliament respectively are:—
In Wooroora, the position of the Premier, Mr. Butler, is still iu doubt, and he will have difficulty in retaining the seat. There is a possibility of Mr. Jenkins, Commissioner of Crown Lands, being defeated. The AttorneyGeneral, Mr. Homburg, is being closely pressed, and the Minister of Education is by no means certain of being returned.
