AUSTRALIAN GOVERNOR
SIR I. ISAACS SUGGESTED SYDNEY, April <>. The Sunday Times is authoritatively informed that the successor as Gover-nor-General to Lord Stonehaven is Sir Isaac- Isaacs, who was recently appointed Chief Justice of the High Court.
The newspaper adds: —‘‘It has long been an open secret that the Seullin Government is anxious that the new Governor-General should be an Australian. It has, accordingly, recommended Sir Isaac Isaacs to the British Government. ”
