TROUBLE IN INDIA GENERAL STRIKE PLANNED DELHI, April 5. Mr. presided nt n meeting* Milder the auspices of Calcutta trade unions, which passed his resolution railing upon all workers to engage in a general strike as a protest against police interference with tho carters' agitation.
Several thousand rail strikers who attacked the Victoria terminus station in Bombay wen' dispersed by the police, who opened fire. Over 30 were injured and taken to hospital. A party of British people returning from a cinema in a motor car were stoned by the strikers. Two, including a woman, were injured.
