Two youths who went, climbing on tin' upper northern slopes of Mount hgniont lost their wav and had an arduous day in endeavouring to regain the right trade, states a New Plymouth correspondent. One of them tell over a cliff in tho Waiwnkaiho Gorge and received a severe cut on the head. Ihe youths arrived at the hostel a little after 8 p.m. when the custodian was organising a rescue party. On the occasion of the recent Municipal Association conference tit Invercargill, three Mayors drilled together, ami someone chanced to remark, “What tall Mayors they breed in New Zealand!” The three were the Mayor of Wellington, Mr. 0.
