BRITAIN'S FOOD SUPPLIES
20% FROM REST OF EMPIRE LONDON, Feb. 21. Tim Chamber of Shipping' of the United Kingdom unanimously adopted a resolution calling for more systematic study of methods for developing trade resources of the British Empire. The resolution, moved •by Sir Alan Anderson, a director of the Bank of England, also urged Governments throughout the Empire to create the necessary machinery for this research work. _ . Ho was surprised to discover, Sir Alan said, that Britain took only 20 per cent, df her food supplies from tho rest of (ho Empire. Forty per cent, came from foreign sources and 40 per cent, from domestic sources.
