A new use for old motor numberplates lias been found by a country spoils committee. The numbers have mt lixed to pegs which indicated the starting marks in the sprint events. \ meeting of creditors in the bankrupt estate of John McKenzie, ot inuranga, laborer, was to have been held in Gisborne this afternoon, but neither the bankrupt nor any of his creditors were present, and the meeting was adjourned sine die.
