HOTEL LICENSE
OPPOSITION BY ELECTORS

Two electors of Marsden applied to the Supreme Court, to-day to have tho publican’s license of the Kamo Springs Hotel quashed, arid a writ of certiorari issued against the Marsden Licensing Committee declaring tile issue of the license to he invalid. It was granted on June 11. 1929, to Walter Henry Cuthbert, who, with the Whangarei Hospital Board, were, joined as defendants.
Important points concerning tho interpretation of the Licensing Act were raised, and reference was made to the Ashburton case, which is to go before the Privy Council. Decision was reserved.
