Golding's friends are disappointed at his omission from the Australian team for the Empire Games and express the opinion that he should have been given priority over Bascombo. Accordingly, Golding has issued a challenge to Bus combe for a match over 440 yards in 'Sydney. The latter lias accepted th* challenge, which will bo decided in May.
