TEST CASE SUGGESTED
DISPUTE OVER AWARD (Pbt Press Association.) WELLINGTON*, this day. The Arbitration Court is hearing a claim for a new award by the Hotel and Restaurant Workers' Union, in which the right of entry to interview employees once a week is demanded. This is resisted by the employers, who do not object to an individual employer agreeing with the union for periodical visits, but claim the right for him to decide who he will allow on his premises. The power of the court to make any such provision is also questioned, and the opinion of Sir Chas. Skerrett was quoted in support.
'The employers' representaive suggested that the point should be sub mitted to the Appeal Court.
