The greatest aerial pageant yet witnessed in Hawke's Bay opened this morning at tin- Hawke's Bay ami EastCoast. Aero Club's grounds, Hastings. The day was line and sunny, with very little wind, so that the tliers experienced tin- Lest conditions. Seventeen planes are taking part from all parts of the Dominion.
The visiting airmen, the lit. Hon. •!. C. Ooates, patron of the club, and the Hon. ,). IL Cobbe. Minister of Defence. were, welcomed by Sir Andrew Russell and the Mayor, Mr. Cordon Roach. The prize for the best landing b v a. la.lv pilol was won by Miss A. Clitl'ord (Chrislehurch). Miss P. Bennett (Marlborough) being second.
