CLOSING OF HOSPITAL
COMPLETE INVESTIGATION (Par Press Assor'itioii.) DATKIAVILLE, this day. Following (lie closing of the Papatoa Pottage Hospital, as a result or throe or four cases of maternal mortality, which are believed to lie due to septicaemia, a meeting of the Kaiparn Hospital Board -was held yesterday. The meeting was attended by Dir. K. A. Shaw, of the head office of ill Health Department in Wellington, who is to make an investigation of the conditions at the hospital. The .Minister of 'Health stated thai Hie Government would spare no endeavor to sec that a complete investigation was made into the affairs of the hospital. lie could make no comment on the position until the report of Dr. Shaw had been received.
