FLIGHT ACROSS COOK STRAIT
(Per Press Association.) BLENHEIM, this day. Mr. Chichester, flying his own Moth and accompanied by Mr. Brandon, and Mr. Goodwin, flying an Avro-Avian plane on route from Wellington to Christchurch, had a terrible experience crossing Cook Strait. "Very thick weather and heavy rain reduced the visibility, and they flew most of the distance 30ft. from the water. Ultimately n good landing was made at Woodimrn. The flyers arc weather bound here.
