SECOND EDITION. TOLAGA BAY WEDDING

HERBERT—WALSH (Herald Correspondent.) A wedding of considerable interest took place at St. Andrew's Church, Tolaga Hay, on Thursday last, when' Eileen May, onlv daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J*. J. Walsh, of Tolaga Pay, was married to .Francis Joint, son of Air. and Mrs. John T. Herbert, of Makaraka, Gisborne. Friends of the .hride had most artistically 'decorated the church, a large floral bell being one of the principal features. The Rev. \V. 11. Smith officiated, and Mrs. Holmes was at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of hep father, looked charming in a gown of white beaded georgette, featuring the uneven hemline over ivory satin. Her tulle veil, which was beautifully embroidered, was held in position with small sprays of orange blossom. She wore white satin shoes and stockings to match and carried a beautiful 'bouquet of white roses, carnations, and maidenhair fern.

Two bridesmaids were in attendance. Miss Bonnie .Robertson, chief bridesmaid, wore pink georgette over pink satin, styled in a semi-fitting bodice with a flared skirt with uneven hemline, and an artistic bow at one side, caught to the skirt with an Oriental medallion. Miss Maud Herbert, sister of the bridegroom, wore a similar frock in powder blue. Both bridesmaids wore crinoline straw hats in pastel shades with folded georgette brims trimmed with small bands of pink and blue ribbons. They wore gold brocaded shoes and stockings to tone and carried sheaths of flowers. Each bridesmaid wore a gold armlet, the gift of the bridegroom The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Lionel Rhodes, or Gisborne, as hest man. and the bride's brother, Mr. J. <">. Walsh as groomsman. At the. reception held later at the Tolaga Bay Hotel, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Walsh received their* guests at the entrance. The bride's mother wore a delphinium blue crepe-de-chine frock, smartly pleated, with hat and bouquet to tone. Mis. Herbert, the bridegroom's mother, wore a beige ere.pe-.de-chine frock with a beige Bankok straw hat to match. The proceedings were presided over by the Rev. W. H. Smith and the customary toast list was honored.

When "Mr. and Mrs. Herbert left later to spend their honeymoon on a motoring tour of the North Island, the bride was wearing a jade green three-piece suit in celanese, richly trimmed with Oriental embroidery. Her green Bankok hat toned with her frock, and she wore a black satin coat and fox fur. Included in the list, off guests were: Mr. and Mrs A.
