BRILLIANT METEOR
SEEN IN EROAD DAYLIGHT (Per Press Association.) THAMES, this day. A very brililant meteor was observed at 1.12 p.m. yesterday afternoon in the southern sky." The day was fine, with no clouds. The meteor was first observed almost due south, about half-way between the horizon and the zenith. It was brilliant blue, falling towards south-south-east. When it nearly reached the horizon it apparently bursi, with incan- % descent white fire! Spectators were amazed at it being so visible in broad daylight.
