WOOL SITUATION
HOPEFUL OUTLOOK ELIMINATION OF SUBSTITUTES (Received February 8,2 p.m.) LONDON, Feb. 7. Commenting on the wool situation, Messrs. H. Dawson and Sons deprecate the adoption of drastic artificial schemes. Pronounced opinion in wool manufacturing centres is that the coming year will see a largely increased demand for fine grades. They point out the cheaper wool values are eliminating substitutes and auxiliaries to raw material.
