STEAMER STRANDED
RIGOROUS CONDITIONS (Received Feb. 5, 3 p.m.) lIELSINGFORS, Feb. 4. The Danish steamer Nelly is .stranded in the Gulf of Finland. She was swept by seas iind rapidly became encased in ice. Jttescucra have been nimble to approach, and it was feared that the crew of 20 would bo frozen to death, but during the forenoon observers with telescopes saw what were thought to be signals.
