Tn the inter-State tennis, tourney New South Wales mcn'.H and women's teams defeated Victoria by wide margins and won the men's contest with Queensland, though some keenly-fought games were witnessed in this case. The most notable feature was the defeat of the Queensland pair. Moon and Cummili'g, by Hnngerford and McCaushind, 7—sj B—o. The visitors subsequently won a keenly-contested match with Sprotile and Dunlop, f>—7, 7—">, B—o.
The State now in progress so far. have been confined to the preliminaries.
