"AFFRONT TO THE WORLD"

HONORING THE ASSASSIN LONDON, Feb. 1. Several newspapers,, referring to the ceremony being held- on Sunday at Serajevo, of the unveiling of a" memor- ." ial to Gabriel Princip, the 19-year-Old \ assassin, whose crime payed the 'VF.S.y! to the world war, describe it as.oas of the most remarkable ceremonies in, ' history, amounting to -an affront tp the world. . , *

The memorial will be placed in the exact spot where Princip stood when he fired the fatal shot; as the motor car in which the Archduke iFrancis Ferdinand and "his wife were being driven was backing out of a cul-de-sac. This part of Serajevo quayside already bears the name <* Princip,'' whose'deed is signalised by an imposing tablet and tomb in another portion of the town, on which are the words: "To the patriot who liberated this country from its oppressor;." ■• < To-morrow's memorial will be the

third one with his name and portrait. It was the intention of the "Black
