OCCUPANTS INJURED

A serious motor accident! occurred on Pukeora Sanatorium hill yesterday afternoon. A ear driven by J. •). Mansfield, of Falmerstoii North, and containing his wife, three children and neice, was proceeding to Palmerston North from Napier, when it plunged over a 30ft. bank owing to the steering rod breaking. Mrs. Mansfield was thrown through the windscreen, sustaining extensive cuts and abrasions, a.nd shock. Her daughter was badly .crushed about the chest and .body, and was admitted to Wai'pukurau Hospital in a serious condition. The other occupants suffered bruises and shock. Mr. Mansfield;, who resides in Wilson's Line, is a wool sliper.'
