The sagacity of a good sheep dog was displayed the other day at. liketahuna, when a large mob was being packed into a holding pen. A few blind evils were bunched at the gato and for some, distance inside the mob was packed closely. The dog of its ,wn volition sprang on to the backs of.the sheep and travelled until it reached a spot where the sheep wero ess closely packed. He then sprang to the ground agaifi and proceeded to pack the mob more closely, then graduallv working back to the gate nnd making the requisite room.
