HOSPITAL POLICY

MEETING OT B.M.A. BRANCHES The annual • conference of the New Zealand branch of the British Medical Association will be held at Christchurch commencing on February 18. The subject of widest public interest set down lor consideration is that of “Hospital Policy.” The discussion will be opened by Dr. J. fcj. Elliott, of Wellington. Amongst those who are to attend the conference are Dr. Silberberg and Dr. C. W. B. Littlejohn, of Melbourne. The programme includes papers by the following : Dr. P. P. Lynch (Wellington) and Dr. Silberberg (Alelbourne), on “Diagnosis and Treatment of Chronic Rheumatics”; lb. Bilcliff (Ashburton), Dr. W. M. MacDonald (Dunedin), and Dr. X. Guthrie (Christchurch), on “Chronic Appendicitis.” Annual meetings will be held of the New Zealand Women’s Medical Association and the Obstetrical Society. It is proposed to form an anaesthetic section of the New Zealand branch of the British Aledical Association. During the meeting there will also be a discussion on the British Empire Cancer Campaign. The conference will end on February 22.
