OBITUARY
Mrs. Jane Brown (Heni Te Rau), aunt of Sir Maui Romaic, and tho daughter of a Taranaki pioneer, M l '- John Nicholls, and To ltau-o-Te Rangi, ai ehiel'tainess of the Ngatimutunga tribe,; has died at Remuera, Auckland. The deceased traced relationship with the famous fighting chief Rauparaha. She was one of .the last .to retain personal: memories of him, Mrs. Rrown was a personal friend of Sir George Grey.
