55 MORE MARRIAGES VITAL STATISTICS FOR 1929
Cupid was unusually busy with his darts during tbe past year, for the vital statistics of Gisborne show an increase of 55 in tho number of marriages during the period. The birth rate and death rate of the .towji. on the other hand, remained much about the same, there being 11 more births and four more deaths in 1929 than in 1928. £ Marriages in December of this year reached a total which is practically double That for the corresponding month last year, while the birth rate shows a decrease of 10, and the death rate an increase of two.
