A comparatively young man, j he was for 15 years on the staff of the, Canadian Lank of Commerce. He' joined the Canadian Department oft Trade and Commerce early this year. Thi a is ltis first overseas appointment, j lie says there is in Canada a general, feeling in favor of reciprocal trade, ■ and as it is being carefully fostered every country in the Empire should benefit. Indeed, during recent years the demand for, English goods has increased to such an extent in Canada tha't shopkeepers who previously stored foreign articles have been to discard them. Dairy farming in Canada has not grown, to any great extent, and New Zealand exporters had established themselves in a sound posi-! tion. . I
