It is expected that the main north railway line will be completed to Rangiahua by the end of next year, when the last section, from Okaihau to Rangiahua, will he handed over to the Railway Depart- I ment by the Public Works Department. For some years Okaihau has been the terminus of the line, but when the new \ section is opened a further 15 miles of railway will be added. Work on the Okaihau-Rangiahua' section was commenced in June, 1924..
