The Waimea leaves Auckland on January 7 with cargo for Gisbome and Napier. The Wingatui, with southern cargo, is expected to leave Wellington to-day for Napier. The Cornwall is due at Gisbome about January 20 to load frozen meat and general cargo for United Kingdom ports. The Awahou loads afc Auckland on .Monday and Tuesday next, and sails on Tuesday evening for Coast bays and Gisborne. She is clue here on Friday, January 10. The Parera sailed hence on. Saturday night, and should arrive at Wellington to-day. She is to sail again to-morrow evening with rails for Gisbome, and is duo here at. the end of this week. The Pukeko arrived here yesterday morning from Auckland, via- Coast, bays. Thi! vessel sails this afternoon for Napier, and from there proceeds to Auckland. The Pakura arrived at Wellington today from Gisborne. She remains there over the New Year, and loads on Monday and Tuesday next lor Napier and Gisborne. The motor ship Margaret W arrived at Auckland Inst night from Gisborne. She sails to-morrow afternoon for Coast bays and Gisborne, arriving here on 1 Friday. ! The Tiroa has been in port over the week-end. Her future movements have not vet been announced. The C. and I). There has been a moderate rise of pressure in Tasmania. Winds south-east in the far south, elsewhere north to west, moderate to strong, or in places of gale force. Seas rather rough on the- west coast and about Cook and 1 Foveaux Straits; .smooth to moderate elsewhere in coastal waters, but rough oil' shore. Fresh to strong north to west winds, and rather rough seas in the eastern Tasinan. Later winds backing lo southwest. Weather dull, misty and unsettled, with rain almost general, and heavy falls in tin* western and southern districts. Tempera tares cool in the. south. Elsewhere mild. (To-day's North. Island Report.) Cine weather was reported throughout the North Island this morning, with overcast skies at Wellington. Fresh to strong westerly winds were general. The barometer showed little variation, being still at a low level. Temperatures at 9 o'clock were: Auckland 67 degrees, Tauranga and East Cape 68, Opotiki and Wanganui 70, Gisborne 74, Napier 77, and Wellington 62. Rough seas were reported at Castlcpoint; moderate or smooth elsewhere. (Midday Forecast) The indications are for light to fresh west to south-west winds.
