DUNEDIN MEETING RIN TIN TIN WINS ST. ANDREWS (Pur Pregu Association.) DUNEDIN, last night. The Dunedin Jockey Club summer meeting was concluded yesterday in fine weather. The track was slightly softer than on the first/ day and was against fast. time, hut it improved later. The tote handled £21,786 for the day, compared with £15,962 for the second day last year, making a total of £45,562 for the meeting, compared with £38,816 last year. Quantum and Caterpillar jumped out smartly in the Grandstand Handicap, and they were still running .together in front of Waving Corn and El Boa, at the far turn, where Royal Saxon was last. The field bunched on the bend and Quantum still retained his position at the head of affairs at the home turn, where El Boa was making a forward move. Quantum led well up into the straight, and in a great run Nome Quantum gained the verdict by a nose. Waving Corn was two lengths away, with Caterpillar close up. Glare was the slowest to begin in the St. Andrew's Handlicap. and Taboo showed the way out to Money Mine, Bin Tin Tin. and Wingatui. Passing the six furlongs post Rin Tin Tin had falcon charge from Wingatui, with Money Mine and Circulation in close attendance. The order was unchanged right down the top, and at the entrance to the straight Bin Tin Tin was still in charge from Wingatui, Circulation, and Money Mine together. Taboo, with Glare, was still last. Di a great race home Rin Tin Tin lasted long enough to beat Circulation by a head, with Taboo a head away. Glare was a neck off, with Night Lad another head away.
