SWIFTER WORLD
ANGLO-AUST. RADIOPHONE INTERESTS IN ENGLAND LONDON, Dec. 18. The establishment of a regular wireless telephone service between England and Australia is an event of extraordinary interest and importance, says the Daily News in a leading article. It is prophetic symbolism that the service will bo launched by the Prime Minister of Australia, Mr. Scullin, speaking to the Prime Minister of Britain, Mr. MacDonald, for the present methods of intercourse must have a. change now that people are able to talk to tlie remotest ends of the earth. Wireless telephony is producing a swifter and narrower world, and a reasonable hope is that it will produce a better one, adds the paper.
