THE ANNUAL PICNIC AN ENJOYABLE OTJTJNG The annua! picnic of the Cosmopolitan Club—an occasion always eagerly looked forward to by the members and their wives and families —was held at tho I'atutahi Domain yesterday. Ideal weather prevailed, and the picnickers had a thoroughly enjoyable outing. There was a large attendance, transport being provided by a special train and motor cars. The arrangements were excellent, credit in this direction being duo to the efforts of the manager, Mr. I'. S. Bailey, and, tho committee, of the club, all of whom are to be congratulated on tho success of the function and tho capablo manner in which the. programme was carried out. Hunter 2, McNee 3. From the arrival at the domain until the time of departure, children's races were conducted unceasingly, and tho kiddies had the time of their lives. Prizes were distributed in abundance, and parents of the children were highly delighted at the manner in which the members catered for the little ones, nothing being lacking to give them Vi rfenllv food outing. Without doubt the children's races, and tho free, distribution of toys to all the tiny tots, was a feature of tho ''Cosmos" annual picnic.
