TOKOMAfcU BAY MEETING 1 SPIiENDID COMPETITION (Special to the Hornld.) TOKOMARU BAY, this day. Fine Weather and a good attendance of the public added considerably t<> the success of: the meeting held yesterday under the auspices of the Tokomaru 1 Bay Sports Club. The standard of competition Was splendid, and the sports were- conducted by an efficient committee. Tho object of the meeting was to raise funds for the Tokomaru Buy tennis and bowling clubs, and judging from thesuccess of the fixture tho clubs should benefit" handsomely. Tho athletic and: horse events drew large entries, and sortie close contests resulted. Consider- ' able interest attached to the .Sheffield handicap races, run over three distances ' for heat and aggregate prizes. Gaining | two wins and ono second, L.
