CREW DASHED TO DEATH (Eluc. Tel. Copyright —United Press Absii.) (Received December 27, 2 p.m.) MADRID, Dee. 26. Rockets from the cod-laden steamer Asland, from Ireland, apprised gendarmes at Bayona that the vessel was drifting uncontrolled towards the shore. Three boats put out, but rocks prevented them from approaching the ship. Cries from the seamen in darkness indicated that the vessel had struck, and subsequently corpses, which were much battered on the rocks, were washed ashore..
