YOUTH'S TERSD3LE DEATH "I'M DONE; HE GOT ME GOOD!" SYDNEY, Dec. 26. A 12ft. shark killed a 17-year-old youth named Oakley to-day, near Bald Rock, Ferry Wharf, Balmain, a quiet spot where the wheat ships load from silos for overseas ports, and much frequented lately by local youths fot a quiet swim. Oakley had a dip with three companions. He came out and said he would have another. "I will make it snappy, as we must catch the launen soon," he said, referring to an outing to which the party was going. He dived and swam for a time quietly a few yards out and then disappeared, but no notice was ; taken, as the others thought he was fooling. Then he came to the surface with a cry of anguish and onlookers were horrified to see the water stained red. ; Oakley tried to beat off the shark, which was attacking him from below, till he was dragged down. He came up again, struggling, and the watchers saw the monster take another rush at the boy. snapping at his head. The shark then disappeared in the direction of the open harbor. Despite evident agony, Oakley swam to the nearest launch, no boat being available to go to him. When lifted: out, Ida friends were horrified to see his left arm torn off, his chest gashedand his right thigh frightfully mangled. An ambulance man attempted to givo aid, but the boy said: "I'm done; ho got me good," and died.
