Two male buffaloes and two beavers, destined for the Auckland Zoo, are duo by the Waiotnpu, which is expected to reach Auckland on December -'■'>. There are already two magnificent female buffaloes at the zoo, but efforts to acclimatise the beaver have not succeeded, and it is hoped better fortune will attend the two pending arrivals., Both the buffaloes and the heaven have been sent from the Canadian National Park, to which the Auckland Zoo recently sent u consignment of wckas, grey swan, black ducks -and pukekos, all of which are said to be thriving exceptionally well in their new environment.
