OBITUARY
Information has been received of the demise at’Palmerston North of Mr. Jas. McLeod, formerly a hja'dah overseer under the Public Works' Department. wljo retired some eight years ago. N, , The death occurred at Cook Hospital this morning of Mrs. Thompson; of Tokomam Bay, the wife or a wellknown builder of that township. The late Mrs. Tliompson had been under treatment for some weeks in hospital. The funeral will take place, to-morrow afternoon, from All Saints Anglican Church, Tokomaru Bay. The death occurred on' Monday of Mrs. Helen Baird, of Otahuhu, aged 93, who had been in New Zealand for 89 years, fshe was a daughter of William Goodfellow, one of Auckland’s earliest business men, who came out with Sir John Logan Oampbell. *
