TRAIN WRECKS TRUCK
DRIVER’S ASTONISHING ESCAPE (Per Press Association.) «' AUCKLAND, this day. A motor truck driven by a married mail named Buckley, on his first job after being a long time unemployed, was struck by an inward bound train at Avondale level crossing this morning. The driver bad an astonishing escape, being thrown clear of tho truck and picked up 20yds away covered with wreckage. His injuries arc not serious. Tho locomotive was damaged and was unable to continue the journey.
