LINESMAN’S DEATH
TOUCHED A LIVE WIRE (Pur Press Association.) DUNEDIN, last night, An electric linesman, Arthur Benton, 40, single, and residing in Dunedin, was engaged with two other workmen this afternoon at Maungahnu, near Mosgiel, putting a transmission line on to the main line from Waipori to Dunedin, when he was electrocuted. A new line was being hauled across tho main line, which was carrying 36,000 volts. Deceased’s hand apparently came into contact with tho bare wire:
