BUDDHISM’S LESSON LONDON, Nov. 25. “A missionary of the enlightened East to darkest London” is the description jestingly applied to Francis Payne, an accountant in the Post Office, in which ho served for 40 years. He is also leader of the Malta Bodhi Society. “Most of the followers of Buddhism are not aggressive, and do not believe in boll. Buddhism preaches forgetfulness of self, and brotherhood to all living creatures. The Western world seems to need Buddhist doctrines,” he said.
