CHASED MALOLO
PRIEST MISSED BOAT SYDNEY, Nov. 2d. The scenic beauties of Perth proved too strong for Father Walsh, of Hillsjburg, California, for when lie retraced bis stops to Fremantle to rejoin the Malolo, the vessel was a smudge on the horizon, steaming for Adelaide—carrying his clothes and other necessities.
Making hurried purchases, he set out in pursuit, hut at Adelaide again missed the Malolo, and was forced lo entrain for Melbourne. The ship’s officers were concerned about his nonarrival, and an urgent wireless message was dispatched.
Father Walsh boarded the vessel at Melbourne, and is taking no more chances.
