COST OF EDUCATION
IS MONEY WASTED? (Special to the Herald.) AUCKLAND, this day. ‘‘We are spending stupendous sums of money on education in New Zealand, and we are wasting a good deal of it,” said Mr. A Spencer, president of the Auckland Provincial Employers’ Association, at the annual meeting. Mr. Spencer said he felt that New Zealand Was over-educating its young people. There were very few “plums” among the positions offering, and these could not be divided among all those receiving higher education.
