AIR BUBBLES
CAUSED SURF BROWNINGS? LONDON, August 7. The drowning of two brothers, who were surf bathing at Newquay, Cornwall, while a heavy sea was running, lias directed attention to what the newspapers describe as a possible peril due to the churned up water losing its buoyancy through the pressure of air bubbles. A supporter of the theory says that a surf bather, although a good swimmer, would be almost powerless if caught in an eddy or overcome by a large wave in aerated water.
