Mrs. Lillie Hitcheook Colt, a famous belle of the ’sixties, and the only woman ever to be honored with membership of the San Francisco Fire Department, left £IOO,OOO to the city, £IO,OOO for a monument to firemen, and' the remainder of her estate to beautify a street to be named after her.
