It is understood that ho left a letter stating his intention to take his life. Kmmerson distinguished himself in the war, having Wen mentioned ill dispatches for bravery at Messines, where he lost an arm. Considerable space is devoted to the incident in the book, "New Zeafauders at tho Front.
