FRIENDS KILLED
HEAD-ON COLLISION BRISBANE, April-1. - A message from BuKdaberg reports a fatal accident whicH*: occurred near Kalkie late "on"'Saturday night, •when two motor cycles collided head on: As a result, John Jamlespn, 19, and Frederick Brieschke,-18; "were killed. Jamiesou was returning- homo from the moving pictures, and Brieschke was coming into to'wn for his brother. The accident was witnessed, by a number of people'■ retirrnin|f 'from the pictures, and. eye-witnesses state that Jamiesou was passing a oar when, he .struck the other machine. ' The impact was ..terrific. Doth machines were interlocked, and the riders were eaught in the wreckage. Passers-by rushed to the unconscious riders, but Jamiesou, who sustained serious head injuries, died almost immediately. Brieschke, who: was badly injured about the body, died three hours later. A sad feature of the accident is that both families' were neighboring farmers, and the victims, were intimate friends.
